Our 11 day, 185 NM trip came to an end on 7/10 Wednesday when we docked back at our home marina in Green Cove Springs.  Our trip was cut short with the news that a tropical named storm was potentially headed our way. The storm never came but that is the way of the water. Better to be safe than sorry.

All in all our trip was awesome. We got to spend time with family which was the highlight of this trip. It seems for one reason or another we can't seem to make it beyond Hontoon State Park to Sanford. Twice now we have tried and only made it as far as Hontoon. But that's okay because we will head south, again, shortly.

We continue to meet boaters along the way that we have connected with on Active Captain. We even shared a cove one night with Tropical Sunset a 44' cat. As always the information we get from Active Captain and eboatcards has proven to be priceless.

Nature was certainly on display for our trip.

Docking at Blackwater Inn

After being on anchor for 6 days we finally docked at Blackwater Inn. We needed to do laundry, fill up our fresh water tank, but most important spend some time with family.  Yesterday, July 5, we went with Linda & Danny on their pontoon boat south to have lunch at "Fresh Off The Hook" river restaurant.

Niki and Dean came along in their new boat.

Later that night we all ate at Blackwater Inn and watched the fireworks. Life is good on the river.

Birds on the river - beautiful.

Peaceful.

Seeing double.

Whats for dinner?

Windy Lake George

Windy Lake George....ok for those familiar with Lake George you were just thinking when is it not windy. Most of the time there is wind but last night we rocked and rolled all night long.
Expecting family today for 4th of July party then anchor up in search of a quiet anchor cove.
Happy 4th of July.

Anchored at Silver Glen

After we left Murphys Creek we went south of Lake George & anchored out at Morrison Island near Paramore Restaurant.  It was a quiet anchor with gators, birds, and turtles.
Left there this morning and are now anchored outside of Silver Glen off Lake George.
Since we anchored this morning there have been several mini rain storms pass. Hope the weather is good tomorrow for the big party on the Twelve Stones.
